Split-Level Renovation

This recently completed renovation involved removing interior walls, adding a new second story balcony and bedrooms, and creating new larger window openings.

The balcony was hung from the existing ridge beam.  An interior window looking into the new 2nd floor bedroom was added above the living room bookcases (above).

Existing rafters were wrapped with drywall and a dormer window was added to allow a water-view from the new balcony (below).

New foyer and basement stairs were designed to "float" (above and right).

The existing house had low eaves that cut off the beautiful view.  Taller windows and a dormer were added to bring in view and light (above and right).

This shower features a curbless design, allowing a small bathroom to feel more expansive (left).
