Mr. Bohl has served as principal architect of  Bohl Architects, P.A. since 1991.  Prior to establishing his own firm, he was a principal and partner at Weller, Fishback & Bohl Architects, P.A. from 1980 until 1991.  He also served as principal of his own firm, Charles H. Bohl, Architect, from 1976 until 1980.

Mr. Bohl has over thirty years of experience, and specializes in custom residential design, historic preservation, and interior design.  He also has participated in institutional, educational, office, retail, hospitality, and urban planning projects.  He has received awards from the American Institute of Architects, The Maryland Historical Trust, the Anne Arundel County Trust for Preservation, and the Federal Department of Education.

Jessica M. Giovachino

Ms. Giovachino has served as a project architect with Bohl Architects since 1996, and has worked on a variety of residential projects.  She has experience in all aspects of residential planning, design, and construction including site and building design, interior design, custom cabinetry design, construction document production, permit and bid coordination, and construction administration.  Ms. Giovachino's completed work features projects both small and large, including private custom homes, an urban loft renovation, and a diverse assortment of addition and renovation projects.

Prior to joining Bohl Architects, Ms. Giovachino served as a project architect with Bignell Watkins Hasser Architects, P.A., and participated in a variety of retail, office, institutional, residential, and site planning projects.

Ms. Bohl has participated in various interior design projects since the inception of Bohl Architects, P.A.  She specializes in interior planning, furniture and textile design and selection, and interior and exterior paint color selection.  She has participated in the design of unique custom furniture for individual clients, and also has extensive experience and sources for the selection of antique, vintage, and new furnishings.

Ms. Bohl also serves as the Washington, DC City Editor for Metropolitan Home magazine.  Her interior designs have appeared in many magazines and newspapers including Metropolitan Home magazine, Coastal Living magazine, The Washington Post, The New York Times, House & Garden magazine, Chesapeake Home magazine, and Better Homes & Garden magazine.
